Vitapulse Health announce pharmacy initiative to provide help and support in diagnosing Obstructive Sleep Apnoea.

Vitapulse Health is delighted to announce an initiative supporting Community Pharmacies to provide help and support in diagnosing Obstructive Sleep Apnoea. 

Up to an estimated 85% of sleep apnoea sufferers are undiagnosed, and NHS waiting times for sleep studies remain long, in excess of 12 months in some areas. This initiative will raise awareness of sleep apnoea and it's symptoms through community pharmacies and will help pharmacy customers get tested more quickly and effectively by providing access to our in-home sleep apnoea test, which gives a diagnosis from a Consultant Sleep Physiologist within 7 days. In turn this will reduce pressure on the NHS and allow patients diagnosed with OSA to see their GP for treatment sooner. 

Pharmacists offer an invaluable source of information, help and support to their patients, and this initiative will enable them to offer even greater support and reduce the burden and waiting times within the NHS.
